the holistic perspective
The root of the word 'holistic' is the ancient Greek 'holos', meaning 'whole'. A holistic approach embraces all the interwoven aspects of our being - body, mind, spirit, and energy. When there is balance in each of these, we are at our healthiest, most resilient, and most radiant.
But there are times in all our lives when we are thrown off balance. We might be feeling stuck, unhappy and unfulfilled, at work or in our relationships. We might not even know why. Perhaps we're not looking after ourselves. We are overwhelmed, anxious, lacking in confidence or self-esteem. We may be struggling with loss, change, negative emotions, or unresolved trauma.
Imbalance and stress may start to show up in headaches, aches and pains, digestive problems, insomnia, panic attacks, addictive behaviour, and disease.
Taking a holistic look at ourselves provides us with a starting point to work out what may be out of balance.
A focus on self-care and all-round wellbeing is integral to my approach. If we are to give nourishment, gratitude, care, compassion and fulfilment to others, we need to start with ourselves. For most of us, this takes a lot of practice.

This is your time, your space. After all you are the expert in your life. I am just walking alongside you for a while.
I will ask you questions, and listen. I will encourage you to be curious, to listen to yourself and to tune into what's really going on for you. There will be time for silence for reflection and focus. To pause and to be still.
I will support you as you discover what might be holding you back or dragging you down, as you find the courage to stretch to a place of reconnection, growth and transformation.
